Dortmund office
The BAuA is based in Dortmund. The building complex was erected in 1972 and was initially used to house the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health until it was merged with the Berlin Federal Institute for Occupational Medicine to become the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in 1996. At the Dortmund site, the research focus lies on occupational safety. As a BAuA institution continually working in the field of education, the DASA opened a Working World Exhibition to visitors in 1993.
