The BAuA site in Dresden dates back to the GDR’s Central Institute of Occupational Safety, which was established in 1954. Following the reunification of 1989, this institution became part of the BAuA. Since 1998, the BAuA has been based in the former Saxon military courthouse in Dresden’s Albertstadt. The main focus of researchers at this Dresden site is technical occupational safety and transfer tasks.
