Projektbeschreibung:

The identification and evaluation of product risks is legal task of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). The BAuA attracts different sources of data, such as reports of market surveillance authorities and product recalls by manufacturers. Statistical analyses are published at least once a year. This information is used to control the administrative activities, e.g. market surveillance authorities develop their surveillance approach and determine the annually market surveillance priorities. In addition, the data form the basis for the planning and execution of research and development activities of the BAuA.

In this project, the market volume of certain product groups will be compared with the data reported from RAPEX dangerous product groups and BAuA statistics in order to determine potential risks. The results of the statistical analyses will be published in the annual information service "Dangerous Products".
